
| Christine Tarrajat Director General Tel: +32 2 777 02 71 // e-Mail Christine Tarrajat was appointed Director General of the Association in March 2003, after 6 years as Director with responsibility for Regulatory Affairs. She started her professional career in 1983 with Abbott Diagnostics France as Sales Representative. She then joined Pasteur Diagnostics France as Area Manager South East Asia. From 1986 till 1993 she worked for Wellcome Diagnostics in France as Commercial Manager Deputy and in Spain as Marketing Manager. In 1993, after the acquisition of Wellcome Diagnostics by Murex Diagnostics, she became Marketing Manager South West Europe (France, Spain, and Portugal). In 1995 she was named to Marketing and Strategic Planning Manager working for the European headquarters of Murex in the UK. With a scientific and commercial background in Industrial and Applied Microbiology and International Trade, she speaks French, English and Spanish.

| Jesús Rueda Regulatory Affairs Manager Tel: +32 2 777 02 72 // e-Mail Jesús Rueda heads the regulatory team in EDMA so as to ensure the Association’s active participation in the regulatory debates that affect IVDs at European level. Specifically, he is the contact person for discussions on issues related to Labelling, Standardisation, Environmental Legislation, Software, Accreditation and Metrological Traceability. Jesús Rueda is the EDMA representative to the JCTLM, ISO/TC 212, CEN/TC 140 and ABHS. A Spanish national with a Biochemistry background, he is also fluent in English and French. |

| Lucie Mattera Regulatory Affairs Officer Tel: +32 2 777 02 75 // e-Mail Lucie Mattera assists the Regulatory Affairs Manager in developing the Association’s regulatory policy and information and ensuring the liaison with the Commission and other EU institutions. A native French speaker she also has proficiency in English and an advanced command of German.

| Katalin Máté Regulatory Affairs Assistant Tel: +32 2 777 02 76 // e-Mail Katalin Máté supports the Regulatory Affairs Department in its daily work and acts as a regular contact point for members. In addition to being a Hungarian national, she has a high command of English and an understanding of German.

| Gloria Galán Communications and Public Affairs Manager Tel: +32 2 777 02 77 // e-Mail Gloria Galán is responsible for all EDMA promotion and advocacy activities, developing the Association’s image and networks of contacts with policy-makers and other stakeholders. She coordinates the work of the EDMA experts teams aimed at demonstrating through evidence-based recommendations the valuable contribution that In Vitro Diagnostics can offer to improve life quality and healthcare, both from the clinical and economic points of view. A Spanish national, she is fluent in English, French and Dutch, and understands Portuguese and Italian.

An Italian national, she is fluent in English and French and understands Spanish.

She works closely with the EDMA Public Affairs and Communication Committee, the Market Research Committee and with the EDMA Task Forces. She holds both German and British citizenship and is fluent in German, English, Spanish, French and Catalan.

She acts as the focal point for administration, personnel, accounting, computers, and serves the membership on annual meetings (EDMA General Assembly and members' meetings). A Belgian national and native French speaker, she is fluent in English and Dutch.

| Caroline Raets EDMA Secretariat Tel: +32 2 772 22 25 // e-Mail Caroline Raets runs the day-to-day work of the EDMA Secretariat, providing administrative and secretarial support, office workflow, running the EDMA front office, welcoming members and visitors, serving the membership on general issues and in particular, as Lab Tests Online European platform editor, and acting as hub for information on the Association and the Secretariat activities. Caroline Raets has a double nationality Belgian/Italian with French mother tongue. She speaks Italian, English, German and Dutch. |
